Description

Why we need you?
When you visit a new place, you always remember when you've met an amazing, helpful and friendly person. That's what we need you to be. We want people coming onto our reserve to be met with a smile :-)

You will actively provide a warm welcome for all visitors, thank members for their support and ensure that visitors needs are understood and met to the best of our ability. You will get to assist with guided walks, wildlife activities and inspire visitors about wildlife and the work we're doing at RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond.

RSPB membership really is the lifeblood of the Society and underpins every single thing we do. It helps us fund nature conservation work here and across the UK - not only the ongoing land management of our reserves but also by creating and enhancing magnificent wild spaces for nature and people to enjoy. It is therefore important that you can inspire people about the work we do and warm them up to the idea of membership.

What's in it for you?
This role will suit someone who loves to meet and talk to visitors and who would gain satisfaction from passing on their passion about wildlife. It's also a great opportunity to work at a unique location learning more about nature, birds and wildlife whilst making a real difference to the work of the RSPB.

What skills you need:
You'll need to have the confidence to strike up conversations with members of the public as well as have a passion for spreading fun and sharing knowledge. You can let your creativity and ideas shine through when inventing wildlife themed games and activities. An enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation is important but you do not need to be really knowledgeable, as we can help to enhance your knowledge. Most important of all, you'll need a friendly demeanour and a ready smile.

Other information:
Appropriate training will be provided and as you'll be giving up your time, we'll reimburse your travel expenses (up to 25miles.)

The RSPB is the country's largest nature conservation charity, inspiring everyone to give nature a home.
