There are more and more ways for people to get involved in their communities - different places to go, activities to get involved in. But we know that although many people would benefit from the opportunity, they can find it hard to do so.
For many, making the first step is difficult as they may feel socially isolated and low in confidence - you could help make all the difference, building their confdence and trust and helping them mix with others or take on a more responsible role in their community.

Across a range of our services, we would ask you to be the first person our users meet. You will help provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere, helping our service users and visitors feel comfortable in our surroundings, introduce them to other guests and make sure their visit to us leaves them feeling welcome.

We would like you to have need good communication skills - a bit chatty and interested in people in general. You should be a good listener, be warm and freindly, and probably quite confident and outgoing. Some organisational skills would be helpful but we can help with that.

You will get a huge sense of satisfaction when you start to see someone
who was quiet and withdrawn come out of their shell and start to access the servcies they need to prosper and make new friends. You will also likely increase your own social circle too.

Due to Covid we have had to have a flexible approach to our opportunities so depending on the restrictions that are in place at any point the opportunities may come under one of the following options:
Open for recruitment and placement
Open for recruitment and risk assessed placement activity
Open for some recruitment and some risk assessed placement activity
Open for some recruitment but currently closed to placement activity
Closed for all recruitment and placement activity

Minimum age 18
- PVG Required
- Disabled Access available
