Description

The Social Media volunteer will assist in developing DACA's online presence and promoting the service to a wider audience. With support from the DACA team the social media volunteer will create engaging content for DACA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. You will connect with key accounts and responsibly share related content. You will help to promote our services whilst replying to queries and signposting individuals to DACA’s website. You will be responsible for developing DACA’s ‘tone of voice’ and monitoring the public’s reaction to content and reporting back to the team. The social media volunteer can also help to produce and deliver social media campaigns and assist in the development of a social media strategy which incorporates key dates such as Alcohol Awareness Week (19th-25th November 2018), Giving Tuesday (November 27th), and Volunteer’s Week (1st-7th June).

Restrictions
The social media volunteer is expected to be organised, friendly and respectful to others. Have a good knowledge of social media platforms (preferably Facebook and Twitter) and have excellent online communication skills. You will understand alcohol-related issues and the impact on people. You will able to follow the guidance of staff and other volunteers and be confident in using the telephone and email.
