The Care Experience service helps to capture the experience of patients through questionnaires or audits in order to continually improve person centred care.
The volunteer will require a high level of concentration when visiting wards and carrying out interviews with patients and visitors. The role requires the ability to track and record feedback accurately and consistently in line with guidelines.
The need for active listening skills and good communication skills and willingness to work with staff in clinical settings is required. Care Experience involves sensitive enquiry to find out what works well and what does not in wards whilst identifying points that can be improved both in terms of quality and safety. Volunteers must show a willingness to undertake training and comply with NHS Golden Jubilee policies and procedures.
