Description

We are looking for someone who enjoys wildlife and has an interest in birdwatching. Ideally, this would be someone who would enjoy spending a few hours a week or more delivering a variety of bird watching activities to various types of groups within the community. The role involves setting up and organising bird watching activities and surveys which will include identification of different types of bird species within the park, through sight and sound and recording information found. The volunteer will work with the Community Engagement Ranger present, to carry out these activities which will be rolled out to various groups as detailed. This will involve working with different members of the community, school groups, groups of young people and carrying out nature activities at community events and fun days in the park. We would be happy for you to bring your own skills and ideas to these activities to encourage interested members of the community to take part in and enjoy.
