Part of the global parkrun movement, Levengrove parkrun is an entirely volunteer-led free, weekly, timed 5K walk, jog or run around Levengrove Park in Dumbarton every Saturday morning at 9.30am. We need around 20 volunteers each week to make Levengrove parkrun possible. Roles range from being a marshal along the course (cheering people on and helping keep them safe as they take part) to barcode scanning (using a smartphone app) to helping us set up the course with cones and arrows and then collecting it all back in again. For budding photographers, we even have a volunteer photographer to take photos of people taking part.
