Are you a care-experienced parent? Or a parent with strong knowledge of care? The Why Not Trust are looking for volunteers to become Peer Mentors, providing support to other care-experienced parents. We aim to create a judgment and stigma-free community of mentors and mentees where trusting one-to-one relationships can be established. 

As a Peer Mentor, you have the opportunity to build a relationship with another care-experienced parent. By giving an hour a week, you can help a new or expectant parent with their confidence, and support and encourage them to make decisions and reach their goals.

A Peer Mentor at the Why Not? Trust is someone who:

-Is a parent, with experience of or strong knowledge of care.
-Is non-judgemental, caring, and supportive
-Can commit at least 4 hours per month
-Is willing to attend initial Mentor Training
-Wishes to join a supportive community
