Mindset - Project suspended
Living with depression or anxiety can leave you feeling isolated and alone. You can lose touch with family, community life and often day to day activity.
Mindset is a short-term befriending service for adults (25-65 years) living with stress and anxiety, maybe with low social contact and confidence levels, looking for some support in their road to recovery. Mindset staff will help you develop some clear goals and a regularly reviewed plan to support you to achieve them. Support is available for a 6 month period.
The Mindset Service is free but you will be responsible to pay for any plan activities that have a cost such as bus or train costs, entry costs or tea/coffee when meeting with your befriender. Your befriender will be in regular contact with you, usually for a couple of hours a week.
You can self-refer or be referred by a family member, friend or support agency.
All Mindset befrienders are reference checked, appropriately trained and PVG checked.
