The Armed Forces Veterans Association is based in Room 1 & 2 on Platform 2 of Dumbarton Central Station where our office and heritage centre is located. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 2pm.
We provide a number of services to support ex-service men and women and family members from the Army, Navy, Royal Air Force and the Army, Navy, Royal Air Force and the Merchant Navy. These include giving advice and information about be benefits, financial support and social activities to assist them adapting to civilian life. IF we are unable to help them then we signpost them to other agencies through local contacts.
We also raise funds through attending a number of events at local premises and through selling our own merchandise. Also we attend all parades to mark previous conflicts.
Finally we have a heritage centre which was officially opened at the end of April this year. The centre has an extensive range of military memorabilia.
